General Purpose Manage project or sub project of low risk. Lead sub project team. Plan and monitor delivery phase of sub project.
Manage projects or sub projects independently ensuring timely delivery and good quality. Ensure customer satisfaction with delivery and implementation services. Has overall delivery, resource management to achieve project targets.
Accountable for delivering the customer project scope – products and services – to the customer within the assigned area of responsibility.
Ensures project management based on PMI principles and in full alignment with NSN Nokia Mode of Operations.
Main Responsibility Area Plans and manages execution of the project or sub project according to agreed project targets. Leads sub project team. Manages time, quality, progress, cost, risks, and internal and external resources. Ensures that all project milestones are met by using global processes, tools and interfaces. Acts as customer interface in own responsibility area.

Job Description The Project Manager drives all activities related to an assigned project, acts as a centralized coordination point and interface to the Account Team and is responsible for the performance delivered to the customer.
List of tasks expected from NPO PM (but may not limited to the list below)

  • Lead the NPO team to ensure the project delivery as per plan committed to customer.
  • Ensure all the process followed required for the delivery.
  • Lead the discussions with customer including top management regarding the KPI target, cluster acceptance.
  • Make decision if there is any situation that may required to put project activities on hold due to quality or any other issue.
  • Perform partner management to facilitate the project activities i.e swap schedule.
  • Maintain the delivery timeline including report submissions.
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders regarding NPO project activities e.g swap delivery.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Establishes and maintains good customer relationship by e.g.
  • Ensuring all relevant information is communicated proactively to the customer
  • Regular meeting practices are maintained and agreed actions are reliably followed-up

Managing financial and non-financial Performance

  • Driving for continuous efficiency improvement by e.g.
  • Project Cost Adherence (PCA) management
  • Project Asset Rotation Days (PARD) reduction
  • Optimizing Project operational performance (non-financial KPIs, e.g. Project Schedule Adherence)
  • Ensuring efficient claim management
  • Aim to improve revenue and GM by e.g. capturing up-selling opportunities by effective Change Management

Contribution to Service Solution Creation

  • Contributes in identifying and creating business opportunities
  • Contributes to pre-sales and tendering processes

Project Management Planning

  • Ensures Project Target Agreement (PTA) process takes place
  • Validates PTA contents
  • Plans Project based on PMI principles and processes (initiate, plan, execute, monitor/control, close) guidelines
  • Leads the customization of Global e2e operational processes to project requirements (e.g. network operations processes, supply chain process, logistics processes, acceptance process etc.) and ensures it is aligned with Nokia Mode of Operations
  • Ensures contract management process is initiated and integrated with Project Management processes, operational processes and Nokia Contract Management policies

Monitring & Controlling Project and Execution

  • Monitors & controls the project targets against the PTA
  • Project Management processes e.g. time management, cost management, scope management, quality etc., including e.g.
  • ensures sufficient operational visibility to relevant stakeholders (e.g. PMO, Customer) through specific tools
  • participation to periodic reviews e.g. Review Meetings
  • execution of operational processes in line with Nokia Mode of Operations and applicable guidelines
  • operational KPIs
  • KPIs as specified in Service Level Agreements
  • execution of the contract management process
  • adherence to applicable official guidelines, handbooks and instructions

Updating the Project Management Plan

  • Continuously and proactively adapt Project Management Plans and Delivery Processes to reflect the changing environment

Risk Management

  • Identify and analyze risks and opportunities.
  • Plan and implement risk response actions.
  • Ensure risks actively monitored and managed and risk management plan updated

Stakeholder Management

  • Managing the expectations of project stakeholders, e.g.
  • customer
  • project team organization
  • subcontractors
  • Account team
  • 3rd party vendors (multi-vendor partners)
  • Order Management and Logistics (OML)
  • Setting up and maintaining clear and effective internal and external communication within the project stakeholders (e.g. customer and project teams)

Leading the Project Team(s) Organization

  • Organize and lead the project teams
  • People management
  • on-boarding/off-boarding people
  • manage performance

Closure and handovers

  • Ensure contractual requirements completed (e.g. Acceptance Testing done, PAC signed by customer)
  • Close the project (e.g. collect lessons learnt, post calculations, document PTA completion)
  • Customer handover activities (e.g. documentation)
  • Ensure internal handover (if applicable)

Additional Requirements

  • PMP certification is an advantage
