Description
- S/he will be responsible for program design, development, and monitoring implementation;
- Manage national level advocacy, and facilitate workshops, meetings, trainings, advocacy related seminars and other relevant diverse activities at the national level;
- Ensure that program activities are completed as per organizational plans and donor requirements;
- Monitor and supervise project staff and prepare quantitative and qualitative reports under the overall guidance of the Program Deputy Director.
- Design and manage program activities to strengthen political landscape in Bangladesh;
- Design and plan programs for increasing internal democracy, knowledge building and capacity enhancement for the political party members, and develop strategies to institutionalize the internal democratic practices within the political parties;
- Provide management and technical expertise for relevant program teams;
- Develop effective communication with internal and external stakeholders;
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with political parties, civil society, and other stakeholders;
- Keep good track of political and security situation updates from the DI Dhaka and regional teams;
- Forecast political trends and developments;
- Provide extensive technical direction and expertise to stakeholders in strategy development, mitigating conflict, and/or peacebuilding for better institutional capacity building;
- Draft analytical and factual reports;
- Represent DI externally at meetings, workshops, and other events; and
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Political Party budling Deputy Director.
Educational Qualification:
-
- Master’s degree in political science or relevant field e.g. Peace and Conflict, Public Administration or Social Sciences etc;
Experience Requirements
- At least 8 year(s)
Additional Requirements
- Minimum of eight years of successful experience in managing programs, strategic planning, stakeholder Communication and advocacy related to internal democracy, capacity building, women and youth inclusion, conflict mitigation and peace-building;
- Effective communication skill; experience of communicating with high level govt. officials, political leaders or civil society stakeholders and related stakeholders;
- Clear understanding and familiarity with the political context of Bangladesh.
- Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills including translation or interpretation both in English and Bangla;
- Experience of analytical report writing;
- Excellent ICT and computer skills, especially MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft outlook and internet;
- Possess high level of integrity and adaptability; and
- Retain team building sprit to achieve organizational goal.
- Experience working with political parties; and
- USAID project experience.
