CAREER OPPORTUNITY
U.S. Embassy Dhaka is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Public Engagement Assistant (American Center)/American Center Assistant.

The American Spaces Assistant works under the direct supervision of the American Spaces Program Specialist (or PAO designee) and has no supervisory responsibilities. Provides program support for the American Spaces program including managing contact management systems, office communications, and grants. Assists with administrative support to the Regional Public Engagement Specialist (REPS) and American Spaces Office, including travel arrangements and preparation of vouchers, REPS budget, programs and training, and event coordination. Organizes, monitors, reviews, and reports on American Spaces programs. Provides administrative support to the American Center Director as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- University degree in Communications, Sciences, Business, English, or Education is required. (You must attach a copy of yourcertificates along with your application form.)
- Two years of progressively responsible experience in a multilingual, multicultural, or multinational institution (such as a museum, public or community center, or education facility) that provides information resources or American Studies or International Relations content to the public, with communications, marketing or public relations duties as a significant part of the job.
- Fluent (speaking/reading/writing) in English and Bangla is required. This may be tested.
