Description
- A) INCOME TAX :
- Ensure compliance with the requirements of income tax ordinance 1984, ensure necessary documentation of compliance for future references
- Perform/ develop/ monitor internal controls (e.g. GL reconciliation, with-holding tax reconciliation, etc.) related to income tax on a regular basis
- Preparation and filing of returns (e.g. income tax return, with-holding tax return, including supporting schedules) and attend hearings (with DCT/Commissioner)
- Filing of appeals including preparation of grounds of appeal, appear at hearing with commissioner, Appellate Tribunal
- Face audits related income tax matters, resolve audit issues
- Ensure regular communication with Tax & other local authorities on tax matters
- Tax planning : identify tax saving opportunities, suggest tax efficient business processes without compromising with compliance
- Finance budget reconciliation based on last year
- B) VAT & CUSTOMS:
- Ensure compliance with the requirements of VAT Act 1991, ensure necessary documentation of compliance for future references
- Perform/ develop/ monitor internal controls (e.g. GL reconciliation, with-holding tax reconciliation, etc.) related to income tax on a regular basis
- Preparation and filing of returns (e.g. income tax return, with-holding tax return, including supporting schedules) and attend hearings (with DCT/Commissioner)
- Face audits related income VAT related matters, resolve audit issues
Educational Qualification:
- Business graduate/ Masters
- At least partly qualified as professional accountant with articleship from reputed Chartered Accountancy firm.
- Certified Income Tax Practitioners will be preferred.
Employment Status: Full-time
Additional Requirements
- Five to eight years’ experience in relevant field, preferably with minimum 3 year experience in Telecom/ Fin-Tech industry
- Depth Knowledge in Tax & VAT laws and Accounting Standard
- Experience in handling tax matters with tax authorities, very good interpersonal skills
- Understanding of business processes
