Description

The Australian High Commission, Dhaka, is seeking to fill the position of a Public Diplomacy and Research Officer based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The Public Diplomacy and Research Officer is responsible for the Australian High Commission’s (AHC) public diplomacy activities including managing the Embassy’s public diplomacy (PD) strategy, coordinating and liaising with media in relation to PD activities and broader political analysis, preparing material for the AHC website, Facebook page, and twitter account. The position is also responsible for contractual and financial administration of Direct Aid Program (DAP) activities, monitoring and reporting. The position also contributes to political research and analysis on Bangladesh and regional political issues.

The successful applicant will be required to perform the tasks in the Position Description. The monthly base salary is Taka 86,506, with a festival bonus equivalent of two months’ base salary plus other admissible benefits e.g. group life and health insurance, separation entitlements. Under the Performance Management system, a performance bonus may also apply.
