প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ে বড় আকারের নিয়োগ কার্যক্রম শুরু করতে যাচ্ছে প্রাথমিক ও গণশিক্ষা মন্ত্রণালয়। সারাদেশে ২৬ হাজার প্রাক-প্রাথমিক ও ১৪ হাজার সহকারী মিলে মোট ৪০ হাজার শিক্ষক নিয়োগ দেয়া হবে। করোনা পরিস্থিতি কিছুটা স্বাভাবিক হলেই আগামী সেপ্টেম্বরে এ নিয়োগ কার্যক্রম শুরু করা হবে বলে জানা গেছে।
বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেন প্রাথমিক ও গণশিক্ষা মন্ত্রণালয়ের সচিব আকরাম আল হোসেন। রোববার (৫ জুলাই) রাতে জাগো নিউজকে তিনি বলেন, ‘প্রাক-প্রাথমিকে ভর্তিতে শিশুদের বয়স ৪ ও মেয়াদকাল ২ বছর করা হয়েছে। বর্তমানে সারাদেশে এ স্তরে ২৬ হাজার শিক্ষক নিয়োগ দেয়া হবে। একই সঙ্গে দেশের সরকারি প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ে প্রায় ১৪ হাজার সহকারী শিক্ষকের পদ শূন্য। এসব বিদ্যালয়ে নতুন করে শিক্ষক নিয়োগ দেয়া হবে। সব মিলিয়ে একত্রে ৪০ হাজার শিক্ষক নিয়োগ প্রক্রিয়া শুরু করতে প্রাথমিক শিক্ষা অধিদফতরকে (ডিপিই) নির্দেশ দেয়া হয়েছে।’
সচিব বলেন, ‘প্রাক-প্রাথমিক স্তরে নতুন ২৬ হাজার শিক্ষকের পদ সৃজন করতে জনপ্রশাসন মন্ত্রণালয়ে প্রস্তাব পাঠানো হয়। সেই প্রস্তাব সচিব কমিটি অনুমোদন দিয়েছে। কেবিনেট সভায় এটি অনুমোদন দেয়া হয়েছে। যেহেতু প্রতিটি বিদ্যালয়ে একজন করে প্রাক-প্রাথমিক শিক্ষকের পদ সৃজন করা হয়েছে, তাই দ্রুত সময়ের মধ্যে শিক্ষক নিয়োগ কার্যক্রম শুরু করা হবে।’
পর্যায়ক্রমে দেশের ৬৫ হাজার ৬২০টি সরকারি প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ে এ স্তরের শিক্ষক নিয়োগ দেয়া হবে। তার সঙ্গে দেশের সব বিদ্যালয়ে সহকারী শিক্ষকের শূন্য পদগুলো পূরণ করা হবে। করোনা পরিস্থিতি কিছুটা স্বাভাবিক হলে আগামী সেপ্টেম্বরে এ নিয়োগ কার্যক্রম শুরু করা হতে পারে বলেও জানান তিনি।
এদিকে সম্প্রতি প্রাক-প্রাথমিক শিক্ষার সময়সীমা এক বছরের পরিবর্তে দুই বছর করা হয়। এ স্তরে ভর্তির জন্য বসয়সীমা পাঁচ বছরের পরিবর্তে চার বছর অনুমোদন করা হয়েছে। প্রাথমিক ও গণশিক্ষা মন্ত্রণালয়ের এমন প্রস্তাবে অনুমোদন দিয়েছেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা।
জানা গেছে, প্রাক-প্রাথমিকের সময়সীমা দুই বছর ও ভর্তির ক্ষেত্রে চার বছর বয়সসীমা করে গত ১৬ জুন প্রধানমন্ত্রীর কাছে প্রস্তাব পাঠায় প্রাথমিক ও গণশিক্ষা মন্ত্রণালয়। সরকারি প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ে প্রাক-প্রাথমিক স্তর পাঁচ বছরের বেশি বয়সী শিশুদের জন্য এক বছর মেয়াদি শিক্ষা প্রদান করা হচ্ছে। এ স্তরে অর্জিত সাফল্য ও অভিজ্ঞতা অর্জনে চার বছরের বেশি বয়সী শিশুদের জন্য দুই বছর মেয়াদি করতে একটি প্রস্তাব প্রধানমন্ত্রীর কাছে পাঠানো হয়। এর প্রেক্ষিতে এই প্রস্তাবের অনুমোদন দেয়া হয়েছে। বর্তমানে এ স্তরে শিক্ষক নিয়োগ কার্যক্রম শুরু হতে যাচ্ছে।

It has been approved in the cabinet meeting. As one pre-primary teacher post has been created in each school, teacher recruitment activities will be started soon.
Teachers of this level will be appointed in 75,720 government primary schools of the country in phases. With it, the vacant posts of assistant teachers will be filled in all the schools of the country. He also said that if the situation in Corona is somewhat normal, the recruitment process may start next September.
Meanwhile, the pre-primary education period was recently changed from one year to two years. The age limit for admission at this level is four years instead of five years. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has approved such a proposal of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education.

Pre-primary level government primary schools are providing one year term education for children above five years of age. A proposal was sent to the Prime Minister to extend the two-year term for children over the age of four to gain success and experience at this level. In this context, the proposal has been approved. At present teacher recruitment activities are going to start at this level.
