দেশে করোনাভাইরাস আক্রান্তের সংখ্যা বাড়ছেই। বৃহস্পতিবার স্বাস্থ্য অধিদফতরের করোনাভাইরাস সংক্রান্ত নিয়মিত হেলথ বুলেটিনে স্বাস্থ্যমন্ত্রী জানান, গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় আরও সাতজন করোনায় প্রাণ হারিয়েছেন।

এ নিয়ে ভাইরাসটিতে ১২৭ জনের মৃত্যু হয়েছে। আক্রান্ত হিসেবে নতুন করে শনাক্ত হয়েছেন আরও ৪১৪ জন। ফলে করোনাভাইরাসে মোট আক্রান্তের সংখ্যা দাঁড়িয়েছে চার হাজার ১৮৬ জন।

প্রাণঘাতী এই ভাইরাসের বিস্তার ঠেকাতে সরকার সাধারণ ছুটি ঘোষণা করেছে। নিয়েছে আরও নানা পদক্ষেপ। এসব পদক্ষেপের মূলে রয়েছে মানুষে মানুষে সামাজিক দূরত্ব বজায় রাখা, বিশেষত ঘরে রাখা।

কিন্তু সশস্ত্র বাহিনী, র‌্যাব ও পুলিশের টহল জোরদার করেও মানুষকে ঘরে রাখা যাচ্ছে না বিধায় করোনাভাইরাসের বিস্তার উদ্বেগজনক পর্যায়ে পৌঁছাতে পারে বলে আশঙ্কা বিশেষজ্ঞদের।
