Position Leaf Logistics & Warehouse Supervisor

Reporting to Leaf Logistics & Warehouse Manager

Job Location Manikganj, Bangladesh

The position will oversee the Leaf Logistics and Warehouse function related to operations in Manikganj.
The purpose of the role is to execute and drive all dry Logistics and Leaf Warehouse business needs from an operational requirement. The incumbent will effectively monitor all tasks related to the receiving, dispatching and effective storage of dry tobaccos, NTM’s, inventory management, system controls, safety and security of employees and overall hygiene of the warehouses. The incumbent will be responsible for planning and monitoring OPEX spend in line with business requirements.
This will include the monitoring, reporting, and tracking of dry warehouse and logistics related Leaf KPI’s while ensuring compliance to all JTI policies and processes to support delivering the business commitments, in line with the annual strategic plans. The role includes oversight and Management of receiving and dispatching NTMs and other related products into store and effectively monitor and control the distribution of such.
The position will promote the use of all JTI systems as the main source of information and ensure effective inventory management and controls inline with business needs.
The position will benefit from understanding the E-2-E supply chain and JTI 2030 vision and goals to ensure functional alignment to the overall objectives.

What Will You Do

Leaf Dry Logistics GLT to Manikganj

  • Effectively monitor all dry logistics receiving to ensure compliance for handling minimum standards and timely delivery of stock.
  • Effectively monitor and coordinate all receiving and unloading operations on site and ensure processes and policies are inline with business needs.
  • Effectively monitor and ensure warehouse teams are compliant to all handling and EHS minimum standards related to unloading, work at height, handling, stacking, physical movements of all stock (Dry, NTM’s)
  • Effectively report on all NCR’s and find solutions to reduce non conformities for logistics related issues.
  • Monitor and coordinate all logistical movements together with Tongi and GLT colleagues to ensure no supply chain disruption.

Leaf Dry Logistics (Export/ Local)

  • Effectively monitor Leaf logistics and warehouse movements of Dry stock to ensure compliance for handling and EHS minimum standards.
  • Effectively monitor and plan Dry movements to ensure physical and system inventory controls are in place to ensure that handling and losses are monitored.
  • Oversee the correct loading operations at GLT and work together with the Manufacturing Services teams to ensure export formalities are covered and inline with container loading best practice.
  • Monitor all inventory and system movements / transactions in LPT /SAP and ensure full monthly reconciliation of such.

Physical Inventory Management

  • Effectively monitor all warehouse hygiene and housekeeping activities and design and implement a robust schedule to ensure compliance to best practice and IPM policy.
  • Effectively monitor and plan all related hygiene inspection requirements and controls are in place to ensure that handling and losses are effectively managed inline with business need to reduce set business receiving KPI’s.
  • Effectively manage all NTM and other inventory specific to requirements with regards to receiving, storage, logistics coordination and dispatch of such inline with business requirements.
  • Monitor and effectively deliver dry warehousing storage solutions in line with business best practice with a focus on vendor management and service delivery.

System controls and Inventory Management

  • Ensure all physical IT tools are effectively planned and implement to ensure sooth warehouse operations.
  • Monitor and ensure physical and system transactions are executed according to set business requirements and internal Audit controls.
  • Ensure physical and systematic reconciliation and stock counts when required for all Leaf , NTM,s and spare parts stored on site.
  • Ensure compliance to all critical power user responsibilities and ensure all training and UAT testing is completed in a timely manner.

EHS & Talent development

  • Ensure talent attrition and effective training and development programs to ensure effective succession plans for all subordinates.
  • Ensure all EHS requirements are adhered to following the JTI EHS principle and ensure all subordinates are following these minimum standards.
  • Ensure correct and safe forklift, fumigation and work at height safety principles is firmly deployed and adopted by all employees / seasonals / vendors to ensure we meet set KPI safety targets ensuring compliance.

Facilities Management and Budget

  • Ensure coordinated planning and implementation of all OPEX and CAPEX spend and effectively monitor, control and report to line manager.
  • Ensure departmental coordination with facilities Manager to ensure up keep of the warehouse building, , office building, exterior security perimeter wall, fixtures and fittings, maintenance are effectively budgeted for, implemented and controlled.

We Expect from You

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.
  • 3-5 years of experience with excellent overall supply chain experience and inventory management.
  • Comfortable with analytical and data-based decision making.
  • Knowledge on systems (LPT / SAP).
