General Facilities
Master Plan
The master plan for Popular Pharmaceuticals Ltd. is developed by the world renowned Pharmaceutical Consultant from Australia (Asia Pacific Consultants) for a long term business. The facility of PPL provides plants erected in line with US FDA, UK MHRA and TGA guidelines.
Purified Water and WFI System
Separate Purified Water and WFI system of European origin are installed for non-beta lactam and beta lactam products. Captive electricity generation available to guarantee uninterrupted power supply to the plant.
Equipments
Sourcing of most of the equipment’s for the facility is made from Europe, USA, Korea and Taiwan with provisions for proper validation and to guarantee consistent performance and reliability.
Fire Fighting
The whole facility is equipped with early fire detection system for any kind of smoke. Fire hydrant network is present throughout the site and also fire hose reel with portable extinguisher is placed at different area within all the buildings. Danger management system is controlling the entire firefighting system with the help of smoke and heat detectors in all the facilities. This fire-fighting system is supplied, installed and commissioned by Siemens, Germany and Bangladesh.
Waste Management System
There is a solid waste management system for disposal of solid waste and trash materials. A well-defined policy exists inclusive of in-house management through segregation and also with the provisions for using incinerator to protect the environment.
Manufacturing Facilities
The plant has latest manufacturing facilities for oral solids & liquids, cream & ointments, ophthalmics, small volume parenterals (injectables) and Large Volume Parenterals (IV Fluids). Popular Pharmaceuticals Ltd. also has separate and dedicated facilities for penicillins and cephalosporins which are unique and only of its kind in Bangladesh.
Inside of each of the facilities, partition walls and ceiling are made of sandwich panels with SLE (self levelling epoxy) flooring to make Popular Pharmaceuticals Ltd. to be the legendary facility in Bangladesh.
HVAC is also designed by APC to meet the requirements of US FDA, EU GMP and ASHRAE. The environment classifications of the production facility are class 100 (A), class 100 (B), class 10000 (C), class 100000 (D) and class 100000 (E) depending on the activities performed. Central Building Management System from Siemens, Germany is installed for monitoring and controlling of HVAC system including Chillers, Pumps, Boilers, Fire Fighting System and Air Compressors
Warehouse
PPL has a Warehouse, built in steel pre-fabricated structure with an area of 6908.54 m2. This sophisticated warehouse has separate cold storage (2-8°C), cool storage (15-25°C) area for raw materials and segregated cool storage (20-25°C) area for finished goods

Popular Pharmaceuticals Ltd have own distribution network. Through our own distribution network, we ensure countrywide supply of our products. We have 19 depots across the country which enable us make available of our products in every single drug store throughout the country.
Other than depot, we have one Central Ware House and one Promo Store. From Central Ware House, every depot is getting their required products in time. Promo Store is fully dedicated to ensure in time promotional materials to field colleagues.
