Description

• Build and establish relationships with local and national policymakers, government authorities, and advisors of Bangladesh.
• Monitor political and social events in Bangladesh, and work with cross-functional teams to leverage opportunities or mitigate risks.
• Identify emerging and significant policy issues in Bangladesh and be in a position to engage with stakeholders on issues of importance.
• To be on the ground during crises times and suggest an action plan to ensure business continuity.
• Work with cross-functional teams to shape a strategic and actionable public policy plan for Bangladesh, and generate necessary reporting and documentation of outcomes.
• Participate and lead discussion during internal and external high-level stakeholder meetings.
• Suggest innovative ways to partner with key stakeholders to build brand trust.

Qualifications:

• 5-8 years of public policy experience, with a focus on Bangladesh
• Ability and willingness to front meetings with government and other regulatory bodies
• Experience working across ecommerce, Internet and technology brands preferred
• Strong established relationships with local government, NGOs, associations, and institutions
• Deep understanding of the formulation and execution of public policy strategies
• Entrepreneurial spirit, including the ability to work independently
• Excellent organizational and planning skills, with outstanding attention to detail
• Ability to react quickly to changing circumstances and deal with ambiguity
• Proficient in written and spoken Bengali and English, due to the Bangladesh market coverage
• Experience working in multi-market and multi-cultural environments
