U.S. Embassy Dhaka is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Cultural Affairs Assistant.

Working under the supervision of the Cultural Affairs Officer (CAO), the Cultural Affairs Assistant (CAA) manages the Embassy’s English language programs including the English Access Micro Scholarship Program, the English Language Fellows (ELF), the English Language Specialist (ELS), and the eTeacher programs. The CAA also supports the administration of Fulbright programs.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in the liberal arts, education, social sciences, or international relations. (You must attach a copy of your bachelor’s degree certificate along with your application form.)
- Three to four years of progressively responsible experience in cultural affairs, international exchange, or education.
- Level IV English (speaking and reading); Level IV Bangla (speaking and reading). This may be tested.
- Ability to develop and sustain mid to high-level contacts with leaders in governmental, educational, and cultural institutions. Ability to plan, administer and evaluate exchange programs of all types. Sound judgment needed to present U.S. interests at senior levels and to give balanced advice on matters affecting the MSP (Mission Strategic Priorities).
