Description
- Collect sputum samples from presumptive TB cases and patients during TB treatment
- Maintain essential safety precautions during sputum collection, while working in the lab and concerning disposal of potentially infectious materials
- Prepare results of X-pert /smear examinations and provide report in time.
- Assure proper storage and regular supply of reagents, logistics and other materials
- Keep the X-pert/ microscope along with logistic and documents in appropriate condition
- Increase utilization of laboratory by conducting outreach smearing center (PL) and follow up TB patient in the community level.
- Carry out routine follow up and notify any need for maintenance in coordination with the management unit
- Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
- Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so
