Eco-Social Development Organization (ESDO) started its journey in 1988 with a noble vision to stand in solidarity with the poor and marginalized. Being a peoples’ centered organization, ESDO envisioned for a society which will be free from inequality and injustice, a society where no child will cry from hunger and no life will be ruined by poverty. Near about three decades of relentless efforts to make this happen, ESDO has embraced new grounds and opened up new horizons to help the disadvantaged and vulnerable people to bring meaningful and lasting changes in their lives. During this long span, ESDO has adapted with the changing situation and provided the most time-bound services especially for the poor and disadvantaged. A community focused and people centered approach has been adapted by ESDO while consideration was given to the national policy and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as its guiding principle. ESDO is one of the most dynamic organizations expanding its development interventions across 337 upazilas under 53 districts of Bangladesh covering over 12 million poor and vulnerable people. As partnership with Save the Children in Bangladesh, ESDO is implementing the “Empowering Children through Education (ECE)” project at Madargonj of Jamalpur District and Razarhat of Kurigram. ESDO is inviting applications from interested qualified candidates for the position of MEAL Officer

Responsibility:

• Responsible to ensure the project monitoring evaluation and learning (MEAL) system
• Capacity building project staff for MIS data collection, MIS data review on screen to ensure accuracy, spot check and back check for data validation Day-to-day data collection, data cleaning, data analysis, and monitoring reporting covering both quantitative and qualitative aspects.
• Review the project log frame with the MEAL plan, assist in developing an indicator tracking system for this project, a strong understanding of compliance issues Daily posting indicator performance tracking table-IPTT.
• Conduct day to day program monitoring, critical data analysis, prepare report on the findings and given lesson learnt and recommendation for overcome the findings and report share with Project Coordinator Prepare compiled monthly, quarterly and yearly progress report both qualitative and quantitative and submit to the Project Coordinator.
• Maintain excellent coordination with project stakeholders (Children, teacher, parents, elites, UP, SMC and local education authority etc.)
• Prepare and maintain data base if required Ensure relevant and timely M&E information and learning is provided in user-friendly formats to key stakeholders, including beneficiary, communities, line supervisor and donors Comply with organization safeguarding policy and establish gender friendly working environment in work place Function and establish the Feedback and Reporting Mechanism (FRM) including the Toll-free Hotline is easily accessible to all.
• Geographic Information system (GIS), Daily QB, and FRM data online dashboard posting. Staff supervision, providing the necessary support during the monitoring process of quality benchmark Documentation is organizing using the archiving system, retrieving documents upon request, and outlining a long-term storage strategy heaving practical experience.
• Tracking the DIP, assisting with data collection of baselines, End-line evaluation, and any need-based research/study.
• Provide necessary guidance to field staff on social accountability and associated tools & techniques.
• Provide regular support to the project team in the areas of information sharing and feedback/ complaint mechanism element of accountability Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual MEAL report reports and share them with the project team for decision-making Regularly communicate with Save the Children MEAL coordinator and Head of Meal from ESDO.
