Description
- Monitor the daily operations of chiller, compressor, and boiler plants to ensure uninterrupted utility supply for production processes.
- Monitor equipment performance, identify and troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans for utility system failures, minimizing production downtime.
- Execute a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for all utility equipment, aligning with production schedules.
- Coordinate equipment inspections, repairs, and replacements, minimizing disruptions to operations.
- Track and analyze equipment performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize maintenance activities.
- Ensure optimum utilization of energy like – power, air, steam, and water.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce energy consumption without compromising production quality or output.
- Lead and develop a high-performing utility team, providing necessary training and development opportunities.
- Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the utility department.
- Prepare and manage the utility department budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, safety, and regulatory standards within the factory.
- Prepare regular reports on utility system performance.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and address any utility-related issues impacting production.
Education
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering
Experience
- 7 to 10 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Textile, Spinning
Additional Requirements
- Understanding of textile and hosiery production processes and their utility requirements.
- Ability to manage and optimize energy consumption in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in developing and implementing maintenance programs for industrial equipment.
