Description

  • Write and coordinate the submission of funding applications to Institutional Donors, Trusts and Foundations.
  • Lead on the account management of Institutional Donors, Trusts and Foundation partnerships ensuring regular contact, updates and reports are provided.
  • To develop a deep understanding of Quasem Foundation (QF) work to identify key matches with Institutional Donors, Trusts and Foundations who will be aligned with our work, Like – Eye Health, Maternal Health. Sanitation and School program.
  • To prepare compelling high quality funding proposals that are strategically relevant and attractive to new and existing Institutional Donors, trusts & foundations.
  • To develop and maintain excellent relationships with a portfolio of Institutional Donors, Trusts and Foundations.
  • Manage all other special events as required – i.e. Community Events, Camping and assist in the development of strategies that will lead to increased revenues.
  • Attend all community and special events to oversee activities and ensure logistics are handled as arranged.
  • Identify and initiatives for community engagement with fundraising activity
  • Identify and qualify funding and partnership affiliate opportunities in a systematic manner, regularly monitor opportunities and share with relevant team members.
  • Research and produce guidance documents and briefings to affiliates on donor thematic strategies, policy directions and funding requirements and plans.
  • Develop highly competitive project and program proposals, finalize applications to persuasively communicate our vision, strategy, and programs to potential funders; solicit and integrate feedback from program, budget, and fundraising perspectives.
  • Support the Senior Management Team to prepare for meetings with donors and participate in these meetings as appropriate.
  • Facilitate networking meetings with potential donors and partners in order to keep up-to-date with developments in funding practices and sources.
  • Provide support to develop fundraising strategy for the organization;
  • Actively contributing to set and achieve donor based income targets and managing
  • resources to this end;
  • Maintain up to date knowledge on donor funded projects;
  • Review and finalize the work of team members during Concept Note and Project Proposal submission;
  • Grant Management:
  • To promote all QF policies including Gender equality & equity, Child Protection Policy, etc. and abide by these at all times.
  • Ensure QF continues to improve and maintain its relationship with existing and new donors
  • Support in partnership following QF’s standard policy and practices.

Educational Qualification:

  • Master’s Degree in Finance/Economics/ Business Administration/ International Relations/ Development Studies/ International Development/Public Health
  • Candidates from an English Medium schooling background (completed O level, A level) are strongly preferred for this post.

Additional Requirements

  • Age at most 40 years
  • At least 5 years of fundraising experience.
  • Sound knowledge on Eye Health and/or Maternal Health and/or Sanitation programs
  • Sound knowledge of the charity and disability sector.
  • Experience managing a team.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and telephonic communication skills in Both Bangla and English.
  • A proven track record in writing successful high value fundraising proposals and budgets that secure funding from Institutional Donors, trust and foundations
  • Experience of research paper writing and report writing.
  • Extensive experience in managing donor contracts and fundraising activities, in particular from Government, UNDP, Donor in Maternal, EYE &Sanitation.
  • Excellent communication skills in English. High quality copywriting and editing skills
  • Excellent numeracy and financial skills, particularly in developing budgets, financial management/monitoring and reporting
  • Sound understanding of Program Cycle Management in emergencies and development environments, program quality and partnership management.
  • A thorough understanding of best practice in applying to Institutional Donors, trusts and foundations. High levels of numeracy and previous budget preparation experience.
  • A good understanding of international development program.
  • Understanding of disability issues and a passion and interest in work for them.
  • High level of analytical skills, negotiation skills and critical thinking
  • Ability to manage and lead a team to achieve goals in a complex working environment
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication and relationship skills with ability to influence external organizations and individuals.
  • Good team player with positive and supportive attitude
  • Diplomacy, strong representation and negotiation skills
  • Strategic thinker who demonstrate initiative and creativity.
  • Proven ability to work independently and under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Flexible and able to adapt quickly to pace complex dynamics
