RDRS Bangladesh is a national humanitarian and development organization works for rural development by empowering the rural poor in northwest Bangladesh. RDRS was formally established as the Bangladesh field program of the Geneva-based Lutheran World Federation/Department for World Service (LWF/DWS) on 8 February 1972. Its development aim is to achieve sustainable increases in their living standards. With this aim, RDRS enables those who participate in its program to gain the necessary skills, understanding, confidence, institutions and services; and ensure that the rural communities have the necessary economic, social and environmental resources. RDRS employees approximate 3,700 staff and works with a further approximately 1,000 volunteers and daily paid workers. The vast majority of staff are in field positions, with specialist sectoral and support units in Rangpur and Dhaka.

• Perform and control the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations’ effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations;
• Obtain, analyze, and evaluate accounting documentation, previous reports, data, flowcharts etc;
• Prepare and present reports that reflect audit’s results and document process;
• Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement;
• Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings;
• Maintain effective communication with management and other relevant stakeholders;
• Document overall process in a standard manner and prepare audit findings memorandum;
• Conducted follow up audits to monitor management’s interventions;
• Engage to continuous knowledge development regarding sector’s rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques, and performance standards;
• Ensure a good behavioral practice among team members.
