RDRS Bangladesh is seeking application for the position of Medical Officer (Eye care Specialist) under RDRS Core Comprehensive Program.

 A. Outdoor patient management

To manage OPD patients, assist the supervisor during a round at the ward, perform medical check-ups, and discharge letters, supervise patients’ admission files, and ensure the highest standard of inpatient care.

Assist the annual operational plan of the Eye care center with the team.

B. Perform operations:

Perform all kinds of ophthalmological operations.

Maintain/ensure all aseptic measures are in operation.

C. Supervise:

Contribute clinical expertise to patient care and guide medical staff.

To supervise the activities of paramedics, nurses, OT assistants, and other hospital staff.

D. Patient screening & counseling:

Counseling the entire postoperative patient.

Counseling the patient about cataract operation benefits.

E. Eye camp:

Provide service at PSP and refer the operative patient to the main base.

Participation in an eye patient screening camp (PSP) in the field.

F. Record keeping:

Keep, update & submit all operation patient list reports.

G. Liaison and correspondence:

Assist Liaison and correspondence with various Organizations, NGO, central office, SC, and  other offices

H. General:

Attend trainings, meetings, and workshops to update knowledge and skills as assigned and disseminate new knowledge/ information/lessons learned.

Willing to work in any natural disaster or emergency anywhere in Bangladesh
