Job Summary:
Overall responsibility for all activities of Production Operation.
Core Responsibilities:
- Build a dynamic team by providing effective supervision, delegation & knowledge sharing on various operational steps of all current & new production activities, safety requirements of API plant associated with specific products to make sure that all production requirement is met till the conclusion/end of production campaign.
- Ensure Compliance as well as online readiness on account of GMP and disseminate knowledge & experience among team with regards to CGMP rules along with other compliance issue to make the facility USFDA, UK-MHRA/EU approved.
- Coordinate with R&D/QA/QC/ENG team to establish facility or product validation/QC requirements before beginning the manufacturing of any new product in the facility and develop monthly & yearly Production planning based on the requirement of marketing team.
- Estimate all input costs i.e., raw material cost, operating cost & monitor production margin in connection with supply chain, accounts team and formulate necessary strategies for process optimization in order to lower the operational cost through proactive planning to meet profitability.
- Review quality trend analysis with Operating Managers, Manager Quality and analysis of Trend & its correlation with Raw Materials.
- Monitor yield/solvent recycling/improved production through process data in connection with operating Manager and R&D head.
- Maintain ZLD status with a special focus on energy conservation to ensure compliance of all Licences of Commercial, EHS, etc and proactive disposal of spent solvent & scrap to reduce hazard inside the manufacturing premises.
Education
- Minimum M. Sc in Organic Synthetic Chemistry from reputed university.
Experience
- At least 15 years
Additional Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Adaptability to a fast-paced manufacturing environment with demanding standards for quality, productivity and efficiency.
- Expertise on optimum utilization of company’s asset, improvement of cost efficiency, time cycle reduction, continuous improvement in solvent recovery, on time investigation & root cause identification.
- Coordination with SCM, Marketing and/or Sales team to ensure delivery of product in time.
- Expertise in Organic Synthetic Chemistry and Process Chemistry.
- Expertise in handling critical reactions (such as Cryogenic, Hydrogenation, Halogenation, Cyclization, Grignard, Coupling Reactions etc.).
- Good Understanding of cGMP rules to make facility US FDA/UK MHRA approved.
- Experience in facing stringent Regulatory Audits.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in handling big API (multi-purpose) facilities.
- Relevant experience and expertise in bulk API manufacturing scaleup/tech transfer and commercial batches handling.
- Proven experience in manufacturing through expertise in strategic planning capabilities
