Job Context:

The Premier Bank PLC. is currently having 136 branches and 67 sub-branches across the country and intends to expand its network and service across the country to meet its corporate objectives/goals vis-à-vis brings unbanked people into Banking Channel in the country ensuring internal control & compliance.

Job Responsibilities:

To review and evaluate the effectiveness of the Bank’s internal controls, including those related to financial reporting, operational processes and compliance with regulatory requirements.
To conduct audit at Branches, Sub-Branches, Divisions & Departments within the Bank.
To assess the Bank’s risk management practices to ensure that risks are identified, monitored and managed effectively. This includes evaluating credit risk, market risk, liquidity risk and operational risk.
To check the Bank’s compliance with adherence to regulatory requirements, circulars & guidelines issued by the Bangladesh Bank and other regulatory authorities, existing laws & regulations and internal policies & procedures.
To identify control weaknesses, deficiencies or gaps in processes and procedures and recommend improvements to mitigate risks and enhance operational efficiency.
To help detect and prevent fraud by conducting forensic audits, analyzing transactional data for unusual patterns, and implementing controls to mitigate fraud risks.
To prepare audit reports with detail findings, recommendations and action plans for management to address identified issues.
To communicate audit results with Senior Management, the Board of Directors and relevant committees of Premier Bank.
To track/ monitoring the implementation of audit recommendations and follow up with management to ensure that corrective actions are taken in a timely manner.
To support and collaborate with external auditors and regulatory examiners by providing documentation, responding to inquiries and facilitating the external audit process with in time border.
To execute any other duties as and when required by the Management/ Line Manager.

Education

4 years Graduation in any discipline from a reputed university having no 3rd class/division/equivalent CGPA in entire academic record. Post-Graduation Degree will be added value.
Professional Certification: ACCA, CIA, CA (Partly Qualified) will get preference.

Experience

At least 7 years
The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Banks, Audit Firms /Tax Consultant

Additional Requirements

Age at most 40 years

At least 07 years of experiences in internal & external audit, risk management or compliance in the financial sector including 03 years at Internal Control & Compliance Division in any reputed commercial Bank. Having exposure in GB, Credit & Foreign Exchange will be added value.

High level of integrity, professionalism, independence and objectivity.
Willingness to travel within the country as required.
Strong communication, analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.
Proficient in MS Office applications.
Ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude while dealing with others.
