The Red Cross recommends the following steps to help prevent the spread of germs duringthis situation: 1-Stay home if you can and avoid gatherings of more than ten people. 2. Practice social distancing by keeping a distance of about six feet from others if you must go out in public. 3. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after being in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing. If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. 4. Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands. 5. Avoid close contact with people who are sick. 6. Stay home if you are sick, except to get medical care. 7. Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when coughing or sneezing; throw used tissues in the trash. If a tissue isn’t available, cough or sneeze into your elbow or sleeve, not your hands.

8. Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily. This includes tables, doorknobs, light switches, handles, desks, computers, phones, keyboards, sinks, toilets, faucets and countertops. 9. If surfaces are dirty, clean them – use detergent or soap and water prior to disinfection. Full information on how to disinfect found here. 10. Wear a facemask if you are sick. You should wear a facemask when you are around other people (e.g., sharing a room or vehicle) and before you enter a healthcare provider’s office.

গাজীপুরে রাজেন্দ্র ইকো রিসোর্ট লিমিটেড নামে একটি রিসোর্ট আছে, সেখানে ১০০টির উপরে সুসজ্জিত রুম আছে। এ রিসোর্টির অংশীদার মৌলভীবাজার সদর উপজেলার মুক্তিযোদ্ধা সৈয়দ বজলুল করিম। বাংলাদেশ পুলিশের অতিরিক্ত এ মহাপরিদর্শক (অবসরপ্রাপ্ত) করোনা পরিস্থিতিতে রোগীদের কোয়ারেন্টাইনের জন্য এ রিসোর্টটি প্রয়োজনীয় সময়ের জন্য স্বাস্থ্য বিভাগকে দেয়ার ইচ্ছে পোষণ করেছেন তিনি।

জানা যায়, রাজেন্দ্রপুর রিসোর্ট অ্যান্ড ভিলেজ একটি ইকো রিসোর্ট। যেটি তৈরি হয় ২০০৯ সালে। এর বেশ কয়েকজন অংশীদার রয়েছেন। এটির অবস্থান গাজীপুরের রাজেন্দ্রপুর ক্যান্টনমেন্ট থেকে ৮ কিলোমিটার দূরে শালবনের ভেতরে। প্রায় ৮০ বিঘা জমি নিয়ে যৌথ মালিকানায় গড়ে তোলা হয়েছে রাজেন্দ্র ইকো রিসোর্ট। বনের স্বাভাবিক সৌন্দর্য্যকে অক্ষুণ্ন রাখতে এখানে পরিকল্পিতভাবে আরও বনায়ন করা হয়েছে। রাজেন্দ্র ইকো রিসোর্টে ৫৭টি কটেজের মধ্যে ১৪টি ইতোমধ্যে তৈরি হয়েছে। যাতে মোট ১০০টির অধিক সুসজ্জিত রুম আছে। এছাড়াও রয়েছে বেশ কয়েকটি মাটির ঘর। যার প্রতিটি রুম ব্যবহার করা যাবে।

এ বিষয়ে রাজেন্দ্র ইকো রিসোর্ট লিমিটেডের চেয়ারম্যান বজলুল করিম জানান, একাত্তরে দেশের মানুষের জন্য বঙ্গবন্ধুর ডাকে যুদ্ধ করেছিলাম। এটাও (করোনা পরিস্থিতি) এক ধরনের যুদ্ধ এবং আমাদের সবারই যে যার অবস্থান থেকে এ যুদ্ধে শামিল হতে হবে। তাহলে ইনশাল্লাহ আমরা বিজয়ী হবো। মানবতার জয় হবে।

তিনি আরও বলেন, মানুষ ভয় পেয়ে গেছে। তাই জনবহুল এলাকায় সরকারি বা বেসরকারি উদ্যোগে কোয়ারেন্টাইন করতে গেলেই বাধা দিচ্ছে। কিন্তু শহর থেকে দূরে এ ধরনের আরও রিসোর্ট আছে যেগুলোর মালিকরা চাইলেই সরকারকে দিয়ে সাহায্য করতে পারে। কারণ এ অবস্থায় এমনি রিসোর্টগুলোর ব্যবসা হবে না। সুতরাং সরকার ও অসুস্থ রোগীদের সাহায্য করার এটা একটা সুযোগ। আমাদের দেখাদেখি অন্যরাও যেন উৎসাহিত হয়, তাই এই উদ্যোগ নেয়া।
