Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ordered another 50,000 police recruits in the next five years.
Following the formation of government for the third term, he made the directive during a meeting with the officials in the Ministry of Interior on Sunday as part of inspection of various ministries and offices.

We doubled the allocation of the Interior Ministry in the first budget. We are trying to develop training opportunities and infrastructure development. We were trying to achieve the confidence of the people who will provide security to the people. Only when people give them the right services, people can gain confidence.
To the officials, the Prime Minister said, when you create the projects, then you should immediately mention the number of manpower needed. Soon after passing the project we can manage. Because this person will be recruited and trained in Agagate. The importance of the Interior Ministry should be given in this regard.
He said, for the safety of the people, we have appointed many police in 10 years. More than 50 thousand police personnel will be appointed in the next 5 years. So that people can get the right service.
