DP World Constanta selects for recruitment for the position of ” Electrical engineering supervisor “, according to the below details:

1. General description of the job

Leading, supervising and coordinating of the operational processes of the competency / responsibility department.

2. Job responsibilities

As a „Electrical engineering supervisor”, the holder of this post will have the following responsibilities, as defined in the job description:

  • Coordinating and supervising of the technical activities, maintenance and repair of the company’s heavy equipment (cranes and other container handling equipment), taking into account safety, security, quality and productivity objectives set out within the company;
  • Using Maximo’s control/planning systems to achieve a precise and efficient plan according to the manufacturer’s regulations and standards, periodic review of the work plans and data in the system, establishment of the revision/repair schedule;
  • Monitoring the efficiency of equipment utilisation as well as maintenance and repair efficiency and monthly reports (KPI) according to DP World standards;
  • Drawing up technical specifications, tracking in manufacture, testing, assembling, putting into operation and reception of new equipment/installations/constructions;
  • Designing, elaborating, drafting, reviewing and implementing procedures and instructions when it finds deficiencies on its own initiative or in accordance with the instructions received from the hierarchical boss, actively participating in the implementation of elaborated processes, procedures and instructions, and by other departments of the company in order to improve the existing operational processes, to implement new processes and activities and to implement new development projects;
  • Ensure an optimal allocation of the workforce, in accordance with the equipment needs of the Operations Department, respectively the personnel needs identified on each work shift;
  • Knowledge of the ISCIR technical prescriptions, applicable standards and norms, completing the day-to-day records of the works carried out, tracking and confirming through the inscriptions the execution on the working stages of the maintenance and maintenance works in terms of complying with ISCIR technical prescriptions, periodic training organised by ISCIR.

3. Experience and qualifications required

In order to participate to the selection process, applicants must meet the following:

  • Graduate of higher education degree, graduate specialised higher education (electrical/electronically/ automation);
  • Authorisation as RSL-ISCIR supervisor – responsible for the supervision of RSL-IR works (will be authorised later, if applicable);
  • Specific technical training courses in the field of fire protection (to be later authorised if necessary);
  • 5 years experience – industrial equipments;
  • 1 year experience – management.

About the Business

The role of the External Relations Manager UK is to plan, execute and report on all internal and external brand and communications activities for both DP World and P&O in this critical local marketplace. Responsibilities include traditional PR, media relations and sponsorship alongside newer activities in digital and social media. The External Relations Manager must deliver effective and cost-efficient programs which reflect local business conditions and objectives while aligning with the company-wide Brand Purpose and the Regional Communications Strategy and Plan. The intent is to deliver both leading-edge local excellence and recognisable consistency across the region through shared policies, strategy and best practices.

Key Accountabilities

  • Strategy. To develop and maintain a UK Brand & Communications Strategy which ‘adopts and adapts’ the Regional B&C Strategy, to:

– support local UK business objectives

– exploit all relevant local and international media channels, particularly in digital and social contexts

– build local stakeholder awareness and engagement with the DP World Brand Purpose


  • Planning. To create and manage a 3-year rolling UK Brand & Communications Plan, which forms part of the integrated Regional Plan, based on:

–  the common DP World Global B&C Planning Framework (introduced in 2019)

–  the strategic and tactical objectives of DP World businesses in the UK

– the active support of local commercial management

  • Implementation. To drive effective and cost-efficient Execution of the B&C Plan, through:

– close working relationships with local and regional business management, the regional communications team and other relevant functions (e.g. Legal etc.)

– building and sustaining relationships with key media representatives in the UK

– selection and management of appropriate external agencies (based on critical skill sets and the capacity to deliver integration across activities and borders)

  • Measurement. To establish and report on a Strategic Dashboard of measures which:

 – monitor performance against targets/KPIs on key communications objectives

– track progress against overall brand and business objectives

– justify investment based on robustly measured outcomes and ROI

  • Tactical Responsiveness. To maintain the ability to respond to unforeseen changes, including:

– short-term opportunities

– unforeseen competitive initiatives

– ‘crisis management.’

  • Continuous Improvement. To encourage and nurture a culture of innovation designed to :

-test and validate new ideas and approaches

-explore opportunities for enhanced cost-efficiency (‘doing more with less’)

-expand and strengthen professional skill sets and best practices in brand and communication

  • Compliance. To consistently adhere to and actively promote behaviours which reflect the Brand Purpose while specifically:

 -maintaining the highest levels of safety standards

-complying with Founders Principles, Code of Conduct and Ethical policies and meeting all agreed standards for DP World Brand and Visual Identity, including the Group Communications Policy

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree; Minimum 8 years progressively responsible corporate communications experience
  • Substantial experience in developing and maintaining communication programmes, meeting expectations and deadlines within budgetary guidelines.
  • A creative and innovative professional communicator able to inspire and support communications across a global organisation
  • The ability and confidence to deal with leading media and a proven track record of placing strategic storylines; strong social/digital communications skills

Fast and capable with a strong work ethic, attention to detail and a commitment to quality; ability to

  • prioritise effectively and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills, sensitive to working collaboratively with many different cultures and at different levels
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills.
