We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join the Corporate Real Estate team in the role of Manager, Operational Management under HOST based in Bangladesh.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide support to the Head of Corporate Real Estate on all areas related to Operational Management of CRE including CRE governance and regulatory activities, risk control operations, financial planning and communication. Be knowledgeable on CRE policies including FIM, GSM and CRE DIM, draft any country CRE DIMs as required
  • Work with Country Head and Work streams to ensure HSBC policies and CRE processes and procedure are complied with
  • Act as Record Management owner and coordinator, and Deputy Business Information Risk Officer for CRE
  • Prepare for audits, reviews and regulator visits
  • Support Country CRE Head to remediate findings and actions in a timely manner
  • Supports the delivery of Change Execution
  • Supports the development and execution of communication plans and CRE newsletter
  • Produce accurate, timely and robust financial planning, management, tracking and reporting of the Function’s budget and headcount plans
  • Ensure appropriate governance is developed and implemented along with robust documentation and supporting management controls, including risk management governance
  • Develop and maintain a strong and professional working relationship with all internal and external parties
  • Collaborate with work streams in country to deliver risk and control operations, communications, financial planning and reporting
  • Act in a manner that transparently promotes the organizations values and delivers in an aligned manner.
  • Contribute to effective and open communication
  • Contribute to the implementation of the Group CRE people strategy
  • Encourage greater team communication and collaboration
  • Supports the governance process and control operations, and provide robust documentation
  • Ensure that the Operational Risk Management Framework, Risk and Control Assessments (RCA), Incident management, Top Risk Analysis, Control Monitoring, Key Risk Indicators and Reporting both to Group and through the CRE regional Risk Management Meeting is maintained in line with global standard
    • To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
      • Bachelor from a public/private university preferably from Business background
      • Be well versed with a wide spectrum of CRE activities including risk, financial planning and data analysis, communications and reporting
      • Able to adopt and implement a wide range of new systems and processes
      • Strong awareness and understanding of internal controls and operational risk environment. Demonstrated results in risk management and implementing operational controls
      • Financial analytical background and proven ability in financial/analytical reasoning, including being able to contextualise financial data into business activities and conclusions
      • Proven ability to interact, communicate and negotiate effectively at all levels and across functions
      • Proven ability to manage a large range of stakeholders, senior management and external consultants/contractors to drive best performance
      • High level of personal drive and motivation to ensure delivery of a broad range of outputs simultaneously across HSBC
      • Ability to learn quickly and to work under pressure
      • Good knowledge on Central Bank’s guidelines/circulars, internal control requirements, and real estate regulations will be an added advantage
