Chief Financial Officer

Description

  • To administer the Finance and Accounts Department.
  • Oversee the preparation and communication of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with appropriate Accounting Principles adopted in Bangladesh.
  • To initiate Memo for Meetings of Board, Executive Committee and Audit Committee relating to Finance and Accounts Department.
  • To present the realistic Yearly Budget of the Company.
  • To prepare materials of Accounts related information for Annual Report.
  • To ensure proper deductions regarding source tax and VAT from bills before payment to parties.
  • Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial reporting.
  • To supervise and ensure proper record keeping & reporting, smooth functioning of Accounts & Finance Department and legal and regulatory compliance regarding all finance.
  • Monitor statutory and special audits.
  • Ensure payment of advance tax timely and proper & timely filing of tax returns.
  • To ensure the most profitable use of Company’s fund through proper and effective investment (FDRs, shares and bonds etc).
  • Maintain banking relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash positions.
  • Ensure establishment and maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial policies and procedures.
  • To evolve most economic system of managing the Company in an efficient and economic manner.
  • To maintain all the rules and regulations of the Company & Rules and Regulations of IDRA and ensure financial payments timely.
  • To ensure departmental cooperation and functioning.
  • To ensure maintenance of proper books of accounts and timely submission of financial, administrative and other information to the IDRA & other regulatory authorities.
  • To ensure that Company’s accounts, financial matters etc are regularly and periodically audited by the internal and external auditors.
  • To manage efficiently and effectively Company’s fund and take appropriate steps to prohibit, minimize & probable misuse of fund.
  • To synchronize management reporting system and to bring harmonization of interdepartmental functions.
  • To ensure that the Company is maintaining required Solvency Margin Ratio as per the Insurance Act.
  • To assist the Company Secretary as and when required.
  • Liaison with the legal advisor to obtain legal guidance relating to finance for the company.
  • Must have the practical experience in designing and implementation of various matters of Accounting, Costing, and Pay-roll.
  • Must have the leadership capacity in the development for the continuous evaluation of short term and long term strategic financial activities of the Company.
  • Any other jobs assigned by the Board, CEO from time to time in the greatest interest of the Company.

Educational Qualification: Chartered Accountant having wide experience as Chief Accountant in Finance & Accounts Department & vast knowledge on investment & fund management.

Employment Status: Full-time

Additional Requirements

  • The applicants should have experience in the following area (s): Accounts, Finance & Audit.
  • Strong communication abilities in Bangla and English, both oral and written.
  • To familiarize with internal control requirements at different environments, local regulatory in respect to accounting, record keeping and property management system, travel policy, procurement and outsourcing activities.
  • Hardworking, honest
  • Proactive & willing to take challenge.
  • Detail oriented; and to understand & follow instructions in right perspective.
