Description
- Plan and organise category work streams, both tactically and strategic development.
- Ensure that all aspects of transactional procurement of goods and services for category are achieved.
- Optimise total value being delivered to the end user – on time and to the required quality standard.
- Ensure that all aspects of transactional procurement of goods and services for category are achieved.

- Negotiate contracts with suppliers that provide best value to the business.
- Development, co-ordination and management of key suppliers.
- Ensure delivery schedules stay on plan, budget and meet specified Quality standards
- Risk identification and mitigation, anticipating supply chain challenges.
- Take ownership of supply issues, resolving them in line with business need.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to improve Supply Chain robustness.
- Drive best practice in Supply Chain and deliver continuous improvement.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor degree in any discipline
Employment Status: Full-time
Additional Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have proven purchasing experience working within a fast-changing engineering environment.
- Proven track record in effective supplier development and management.
- Experience of sourcing and procuring electro mechanical equipment in engineering environment.
- Proficiency with personal computers and networking, specifically Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to analyze bills of material and drawings to understand key requirements.
- Ability to identify cost reduction opportunities.
Experience:
- At least 2 year(s)
