Description

Plan, Supervise and Procure all Engineering items i.e. Mechanical, Electrical, Electro-mechanical, Hardware, Sanitary, Civil & Construction, Plant & Machinery, Tools, etc., Seasonal Raw Materials i.e. Rice, Chili, Turmeric, Maize, Spices, etc. and Printing & Packaging items i.e. Offset and flexible Packaging with its raw materials.
Take the leading role to formulate procurement budget for various spares and materials in order to ensure the delivery as per the timeline.
Supervise the job of subordinates in a manner so that they can deliver their own responsibility in a quality manner also within the deadline under the departmental framework.
Ensure to follow up the purchase procedure as prescribed by MGI management from time to time.
Ensure proper follow-up of the payment of party bills in consultation with the accounts department.
Ensure to develop vendors for new products/new processes in a cost-effective manner given due consideration to the right quality parameter.
Ensure to follow up and guide direct purchases from local markets like old Dhaka, and Nawabpur.
Development & implementation of key procurement strategies.
Supervise all steps of procurements like P2P cycle.

Educational Requirements

MBA/M.Com/MSc/ BSc in Engineering

Experience Requirements

At least 15 year(s)
The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
Local Procurement
The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Chemical Industries, Group of Companies, Manufacturing (FMCG)

Additional Requirements

Applicants should have work experience in Local Sourcing/ purchase of Raw Materials, Packaging Materials, Electro-Mechanical Spares & consumables, Civil works materials, Contract Manufacturing, etc.
Proven Negotiation Skills with the suppliers/vendors.
Sound communication skills with both internal & external customers.
Hands-on experience in ERP system
