The Opportunity
The Project Manager who will be reportable to Executive Director is responsible to support the team in addressing the vulnerabilities of people with disabilities and other most vulnerable communities in the coastal region of Bangladesh by ensuring the quality implementation of a project operational in southern parts of Bangladesh. S/he will be accountable to provide technical expertise/guidance for project implementation, monitoring, compliance, communications, reporting, and capacity building of staff and different stakeholders of the project. The role holder will be responsible for providing support to the project team for assessment, response analysis, design, coordination, implementation and monitoring and evaluation and community accountability of the project components. S/he will oversee the work of project staff in terms of system strengthening, referral linkages, collaboration and partnership, disaster preparedness, and response to key risks in emergencies, including for children with disabilities and other most vulnerable groups including ethnic minorities, diverse gender and professions.

Educational Qualification:

Master’s degree, preferably in Social Sciences such as Economics, Political Science, Social Work, Law, Business Administration etc. from reputed universities.

Experience Requirements

At least 7 year(s)

Additional Requirements

At least 7 years of working experience in Project and Programme Management including 3 years in management or supervisory position/roles.
Sound knowledge of project management cycle including budgeting and financial management.
Proven skills in managing multi-sectoral programmes and approaches.
Sound knowledge of UN response and programme mechanisms and other protocols and standards.
Demonstrated experiences of working the rights-based approaches, disability inclusion, livelihood and DRR.
Sound knowledge of donor communications, reporting, and documentation.
Proven knowledge and skill of theory of change, formulation of logical framework, indicators, assessment, project design, and proposal writing.
Strong knowledge and supervisory skills of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and learning and marketing.
High level of communication skills; develop relations with Government and other stakeholders.
High level of knowledge and skills in maintaining regulatory compliances, donor sensitivity, and requirements.
Knowledge of Disability Rights and relevant laws.
Understanding of rights-based disability inclusive livelihood programming.
Knowledge & skill to analyze human rights and disability issues.
Articulation and presentation skills, facilitation, and capacity-building skills.
Excellent writing skills, both in Bangla and English.
Computer proficiency in MS Office package including Excel and powerpoint.
Other requirements:
Sound knowledge of gender inclusion and sensitiveness and PSEA.
High moral and spiritual integrity and commitment.
Sound knowledge of diversity and diverse cultures.
Flexibility and positive attitude.
Life demonstration, team building, team spirit, and inspiring others.
Serventhood leadership and caring for the specific needs of others.
High level of maturity and responsibilities.
